This photograph of mother and baby taken only three days after a caesarean section has taken over social media. The 29year old photographer Helen Aller took the monochrome image of the woman (who wishes not to be identified) and her newborn lying next to her wound.
The mother wanted a picture to be taken as the operation had saved her and her baby. After Helen shared it online, it must have touched the soft spot of people around the world as it has been seen 11.5 million times and liked by nearly 200,000 people.
