EFCC Arrests Man Over $145k He Took From Vietnamese Woman

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Iwuchukwu Uche for obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of USD145, 000.

Mr. Uche, who said he was a military officer working for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, in Kabul, Afghanistan, allegedly collected the money from his victim, H. Uyen, a Vietnamese woman, after promising to marry her.

The suspect, who also claimed to be a property agent operating in Nigeria and Ghana, allegedly told the victim that he needed the money to procure some documents for the planned wedding.

The money was allegedly wired to the suspect’s Diamond Bank account number: 0028998256. The suspect will soon be charged to court, after investigation is concluded, a statement signed by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren said.

A young Lotto winner has ordered her new boyfriend to “avoid eye contact” with women in a long list of rules just days before he flies off to Ibiza on holiday with his mates.

Jane Park – who has herself called the list of rules "psycho" warned Connor George not to "speak to girls" while on the party island.

The 20-year-old - who scooped the £1 million Euromillions prize at the age of 17 - has also warned Connor she will be drug testing him and will be checking his phone for girls' numbers when he returns from his week-long break.

Millionaire Jane has also designed a t-shirt for poor Connor to wear emblazoned with a picture of the loved-up couple and the slogan "If you are reading this - you are too close to my boyfriend".

Connor has joined in the fun by claiming he would "wear it with pride" when he jets off to Ibiza on the lads-only holiday next week, the Daily Record reports .

Ekiti Assembly Prescribes 6 Months Jail Term For Herdsmen

Ado-Ekiti-Ekiti State House of Assembly on thursday prescribed six months jail term for any herdsmen who allow his cattle, sheep and goat to graze on undesignated land for ranches in Ekiti.

The bill which was unanimously passed at the plenary sitting of the Assembly, seek to regulate public grazing in the state.

The passage of the bill followed the submission of report of Joint Committees on Agriculture and Environment by its Chairman, Mr Ayodele Fajemilehin, to committee of the whole House.

The Speaker of the House, Mr Kola Oluwawole, who presided over Tuesday plenary said the bill would now reduce the incessant clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the state.

A 27-year-old man, Chigozie Egegonye, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly planning the kidnap of his sister, identified only as Franca.

Franca and her four children had been declared missing since April 2016, when they suddenly disappeared from their home on Mayowa Street, Ago-Palace Way, Okota, Lagos.
