Meet The Nigerian Yahoo Boy Who Makes N100M Every 6 Months

Robinson Agbonifoayetan, 32, of Welling, is facing jail after pleading guilty to two counts of fraud by false representation in an Isleworth Crown Court.

The conman used images of real-life US soldiers to befriend the women over Skype saying he wanted to move to the UK to marry them. He posed as “General James Krulak” and “General James Raul” and persuaded them to help transfer his $8.5 million (£5.4 million) retirement fund — a “box of treasure” from a family in Afghanistan.

Yesterday Scotland Yard issued an appeal, saying it has identified two other possible victims of the fraudster but fears there may be many more women who have lost money. Detectives from the Yard’s new FALCON cyber crime unit say they have uncovered evidence the con was part of a “sophisticated global network” preying on vulnerable women.

The court heard how the British victim, in her sixties and living in Ealing, was befriended by a man she believed to be a US general after he contacted her out of the blue on Skype.

The man insisted on speaking to her several times a day, paying her countless compliments and confiding in her about tragic family events, like his parents and sister dying in a car crash. Within days he talked of marrying her and introduced the idea of a box containing $8.5million, which he said he had been given by a family after he saved their lives serving in Afghanistan.

She also agreed to meet a delivery agent at a rail station who produced a United Nations diplomatic ID card bearing the name Christopher Williams, saying he came from St Lucia — though the card bore the flag of Belgium. Police say this was actually Agbonifoayetan, who was also the fake US general on Skype.

The victim used up her life savings, pawned jewellery, sold her car and took out loans to pay the spiralling costs before finally becoming suspicious and going to the police. Detectives arrested Agbonifoayetan at Heathrow airport on December 17 2014, as he tried to leave the country on a flight to Nigeria. When police raided his family home in Welling they found a receipt book with details of a second victim in Devon.

The woman, in her fifties, was sold a similar story by a “General James Raul” and handed over £22,000.Detectives are now seeking a compensation order to help the victims recoup some of the cash, which was sent to Ghana and Nigeria.

Detective Constable Nick Curtis, who led the inquiry, said: “We are coming across a number of cases of romance fraud. I urge anyone who thinks they may have been a victim to report it to police now.”

And thats how the cookie crumbled.

Business Woman loses N97million, House After Receiving Father Mbaka’s Blessing

As a Christian and an international businesswoman, Mrs. Vivian Amadife’s greatest wish was an opportunity to personally meet Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, a Catholic priest based in Enugu.

Moved by her belief that as soon as she gets to meet the priest, her life and businesses will improve, she was excited when her friend of 10 years introduced her to one Dr Ohamadike, founder of Esoteric World Discovery Limited. She was told that Dr Ohamadike is highly spiritual that Father Mbaka found him worthy to be a friend.

The quest, she alleged, cost her a house and about N97 million. She reported the incident to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which recovered her house and still
investigating the N97million alleged fraud.

While narrating her ordeal to Saturday Sun, Vivian called on Nigerians to be wary of such persons whom she alleged defrauded her. She claimed that her desire to tell her story was as a result of several threats to her life to drop the case or die and to prevent victims from getting trapped.
“In business, there are bound to be ups and downs. I had so many of them and needed to bounce back. I am a spiritual person who believes so much that with God all things are possible. This was why I became a fan of Reverend Mbaka.
I told Obiageli whom I thought was a reliable friend that one of my greatest wishes was to have an audience with Father Mbaka. I knew quite well that if he lays his hands on me, my life and businesses will never remain the same. Obiageli told me that her spiritual father, Dr Ohamadike has direct access to Father Mbaka. To further convince me, she told me that she had personally witnessed where Father Mbaka called him and they spoke for more than two hours.
I was carried away with my desire to meet Father Mbaka, that was how I fell into their trap. It was easy for him to tell me anything and I will fall for it. When I finally met Father Mbaka at my brother-in-law’s burial, he felt bad. He was screaming and said that he warned people to stop using his name to lie and steal. He also made it clear that nemesis will surely catch up with them and they will be exposed.
Although we currently have several cases in court, I want to use this medium to tell Nigerians to be wary of those they trust especially those that parade themselves as people of God. If anyone could have told me that my supposedly dearest friend would conspire to dupe me, I would swear that it is a lie. I have moved on despite the many threats from them. They threatened to kill me if I do not drop the case. Well, you know if you have God by your side and do not do things that are questionable, you should not be afraid, especially when you go to equity with clean hands,” she said.
On when and how she became Obiageli’s friend, she alleged that they met over 10 years ago.
“It all started sometime in 2003, when the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Dr. Onaga introduced both of us at an event. Then I was building an industry in Enugu and she was producing pure water. Considering the link, I was at peace to be friends with her since I do not know anybody in Enugu State.
Initially, I used to stay in the hotel whenever I visited till she lured me into staying in her house at 1, Ideoha Street, Independence Layout. Then her housegirl used to do the cooking till she decided to be doing it herself,” Vivian said.
Humbled, Vivian felt honoured when her newfound friend decided to prepare her every meal.
“For a long time, she had tried fruitlessly to introduce me to her spiritual friend, whose nickname was Dr Ohamadike. She told me that it was the man’s prayer that made it possible that as rich as she was, kidnappers and armed robbers had never remembered her. I never took her seriously till kidnappers picked my friend’s son. Although the boy was later found, the family paid so much money. I was made to believe that it was his intervention that saw to the release of the boy. Before then I had parted with 1000 dollars which I was asked to pay to facilitate the prayers that will touch the heart of the kidnappers to release the boy.
When I realised that his demand was becoming outrageous, I informed my friend who told me that if I don’t give money to Ohamadike that I will not experience any form of miracle. It was then that I was made to believe that Ohamadike was one of Mbaka’s close friends and confidants. She assured me that my business which was at a dwindling stage will surely pick up. She told me that Ohamadike was the only one that can assist me to get quick appointment with the priest.
To further confuse me, my only son developed acute stomachache. It was so bad that all efforts to get a cure failed. Desperate not to lose my son, I consulted him. He told me that before he cures anyone that he must conduct a spiritual search through his ministry known as Esoteric World Discovery Limited,” Vivian said.
According to Vivian, she further got trapped when Dr Ohamadike assured her that the American business that she got involved with will further yield her so much money.
“I was fully convinced that he was real not knowing that my supposed friend was sharing my life story with him. I was ready to do anything possible to make progress in life. I trusted him and the prayer that he was conducting on my behalf. Most especially I had hope that he was working on getting me an appointment with Father Mbaka. He told me that God was using him on behalf of Mbaka to bless me.
He came and said that he was into foreign exchange which I agreed to fund. I even contacted my friend to be part of the Forex trading and she invested about N16million. All the money was paid directly into the man’s Esoteric World Discovery Limited account.
In fact, it was Pamela that told me that we were in a fraudulent transaction. She came to my house crying that she has lost her money. I tried to assure her but she told me that Dr Ohamadike had emptied his account. I had to pay the N16 million back to Pamela with my own money in order to convince her that I was not part of the scam and again, her yelling was becoming uncontrollable. I later went to Obiageli who introduced me to Dr Ohamadike and told her to call the man, because I knew they were still talking on the phone. I also told her the story of how the man bolted with Pamela’s money. She kept assuring me that the man said he would bring back the money,” she narrated.
After two weeks of endless wait, Vivian decided to take the matter to EFCC.
“I told Obiageli that I would report the matter to the police. Unknown to me, she informed him of my intentions.
He later resurfaced and started telling me about my US business that had been stalled since 2011. I am the company’s sole agent in the whole of Africa, but their production was being delayed and millions of naira was trapped in the deal. I can’t explain what came over me as I accepted him back and continued spending money in the name of prayers. Part of what he told me about my American business was that my contact person in US who is also in-charge of that deal would soon go blind, but I foolishly begged him not to allow the man go blind because he invented what would benefit the whole world.
He now said that for him to stop the man from going blind he was going to take so much money from me,” she said.
Continuing the narration, Vivian explained that when she had run out of cash, Dr Ohamadike allegedly requested for a post-dated cheque.
“He then asked for post-dated cheques. I agreed and gave him the cheques but refused to put a date on them. I told him that when the goods are imported from US and I start selling, he will be taking his own share of the money for not allowing the producer of the product to go blind. This would be done as soon as the money from sales come in, so he agreed and I gave him ten cheques – of 10 million each, totalling N100 million without dates.
I never knew that this was another trap as he ran to the police and told them he gave me money to build a factory for him for N100 million, which I did not build. That the cheques I gave him for loan repayment bounced and the bank returned them to him. He was doing all these because I threatened to arrest him. She called me threatening that he was in Lagos with policemen from Abuja and if I don’t come and meet them, I will suffer. Luckily, all efforts to lure me to the hotel failed,” she said.
Aware of what might happen, Vivian sent her lawyer to go and find out what was actually happening.
“I sent my lawyer, Chuks Okeugiri and Company to the hotel to find out what was going on. My lawyer warned me that they were no policemen but fraudsters. I told him to stay with them there while I alerted the Lagos CP, who immediately gave me some officers who came and arrested them.
During the arrest, Dr Ohamadike confessed to the crime and said that he hired some men to pose as policemen. We also arrested his fake lawyer in the hotel. They were immediately moved to the Lagos State police command headquarters in Ikeja.
“At the police station, Dr Ohamadike knelt down and begged for forgiveness. He told the CP that he is a guy man (fraudster) and should be forgiven. He promised that he would pay me back my money. It was when he jumped bail that I arrested my friend, Obiageli and took her to the police special fraud unit, SFU, Milverton road. Ikoyi. One of her friends now called and begged me to release her that they will get Innocent wherever he was hiding, which he did. He was re-arrested at Abakaliki.
I re-arrested Dr Ohamadike through operatives of EFCC. Luckily, at EFCC, they recovered my house which he and my so-called friend stole from me. He collected the house after milking me dry and I could no longer  meet his financial demands. He even lied to the police that he bought my house and gave me money. I now challenged him in the presence of the police to show evidence of how he paid me. He lied to them that he paid me in dollars.
While the police were still on this case, he went and broke the fence of that house, put new fence, gave my tenants quit notice. It was like a magic to me. Upon arrest, EFCC searched his house, found my house documents and handed them over to me. My undated cheques that he forged and put dates on are still with the police and they are yet to give them to EFCC,” she narrated.
She pleaded with operatives of EFCC to assist her in recovering her money which was fraudulently taken from her.
“I want my money back, so far the law enforcement agencies have only retrieved N1million out of N97m plus. I want justice to prevail and deserving punishment meted out to the culprits to serve as a deterrent to others. So far, Dr Ohamadike collected more than N97 million most of which passed through his Esoteric World Discovery Limited Zenith bank account. He also collected my house in Enugu which was worth over N35 million. This fraud took place between 2013 and 2014,” Vivian alleged.
She also raised the alarm that the suspects were after her life and would stop at nothing to terminate her life.
“There have been so many threats to my life since I started fighting Dr Ohamadike and my so-called friends for defrauding me of my entire life’s savings and sweat. They have made several attempts but failed.
Obiageli on her part is threatening fire and brimstone and has not been apologetic. She has been in and out of EFCC and has also sued for her fundamental human rights, but lost on two occasions, even at the Federal High Court.
I must commend the operatives of EFCC for their intervention in investigating and prosecuting the suspect. Bishop Onaga on his part had made it clear that he will not support my money to go down the drain. He has equally told me to go ahead and retrieve my money through any legal means,” Vivian narrated.

Police Arraign Lecturer For Raping 18-Year-Old Admission Seeker

The police on Thursday arraigned a part-time lecturer, Afeez Baruwa, for allegedly raping an 18-year-old admission seeker.

PUNCH Metro had reported on Thursday that Baruwa took the victim, who was seeking admission into the University of Lagos, Akoka, inside a study room, where he allegedly raped her.

It was reported that the victim’s father, who belonged to the same landlords’ association with Baruwa in the Abesan, Ipaja area, had allowed his daughter to follow the suspect, on July 23, to UNILAG for an admission process.

Baruwa was said to have, however, raped the girl inside one of the study halls at about 9am, when the duo got to the campus.
It was also reported that the girl, who relayed the incident to her parents, was taken to a non-governmental organisation, Mirabel Centre, where she was tested.

The medical result had revealed that the teenager was violated.

The matter was said to have been thereafter taken to the Lagos State Office of the Public Defender, and also reported at the Surulere Police Division. Baruwa was subsequently arrested.

The OPD Director, Omotola Rotimi, had said that the office would write a letter to the UNILAG Vice-Chancellor on the incident.
She had added that the OPD would fight for the girl, saying that Baruwa’s claim that the sexual intercourse was consensual was not a defence in law.

The 42-year-old lecturer was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court in Lagos on Thursday.
The victim and her father in the court premises with agony written on their faces.
The lecturer’s wife and other relatives were also observed in the court.
The victim’s father and their lawyer, however, were reluctant to speak with PUNCH on the incident.
Baruwa was arraigned by the police on one count of rape.
The charge read, “That you, Baruwa Afeez, of Block 73, Flat 2, Abesan Estate, Ipaja, Lagos, on July 23, 2015, at about 09.25 hours, at the Faculty of Business Administration Annex building, Room 8, University of Lagos, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, did unlawfully rape one (name withheld), aged 18 years, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 258 of the Criminal Law of Justice, Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.”
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs. O. Awope, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum.

Awope ordered that Baruwa should be remanded at the Kirikiri prison until his bail terms were perfected.
The matter was adjourned till September 9, 2015 for trial.

20 Year-old Onitsha House Maid Hacked To Death For Refusing Sex With Boss’s Son

A 20-year old house maid, Chioma Onyegili, was hacked to death yesterday by a 31-year-old son of her madam, Okechukwu (surname withheld), for refusing to have sex with him in Onitsha, Anambra state.

The incident occurred at about 9.30 pm Wednesday at 56 Ziks Avenue Fegge, Onitsha, when the suspect now in police custody used a cutlas to kill the maid for refusing to accept his advances.

Daily Sun gathered that the deceased girl was living with the 70-year-old mother of the accused who always demanded that the girl sleep with him, which she always resisted. He thereafter slashed the girl on her neck with a machete.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Fegge Police Station, Mr. Rabui Garba, a Superintendent of Police who confirmed the incident, said that when the information reached his office he dispatched a team of detectives who swung into action and arrested the culprit.

He said that the suspect would be transferred to State Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation on the matter while the deceased corpse has been deposited to an undisclosed hospital mortuary in Onitsha.

The suspect had confessed to the crime, saying that he had killed some other persons in the past in a similar manner. He claimed that he did not not what pushed him to kill the girl, hinting that he may have been hardened by his past murders.

It would be recalled that two days ago, a woman in Okpoko (Ogbaru LGA of the state) was arrested for using a kitchen knife to inflict injuries on a maid’s private part for frequent night urinating.

8-month Pregnant Lady Loses Baby After Police Stripped,Beat Her(Photo)

A mother of two, who gave her name as Chika Elekwachi has lost her pregnancy following police brutality ..Narrating her ordeal to Vanguard, she said
“On July 19, 2015 at about 7 pm, I was driving along Old Ojo Road to my house in my Infinity QX35 Sports Utility Vehicle with registration number MUS157DG.
Park or I fire you: “In the vehicle with me were two friends of mine. On getting to Pako Bus-stop, a mini-bus with four occupants double-crossed us in a gestapo manner. This made me to suddenly apply the brake. At that point, occupants of the mini-bus, who were dressed in civil attire, jumped out of the bus. One of the gun-wielding men had a black branded police T-shirt.I was ordered out of the car by the police who yelled, ‘’Park or I fire you’’. Another one spoke in pidgin English, ‘’Oga na pregnant woman o.’’
In response, the first policeman said: ‘’If na pregnant woman nko, I will kill her if she is not careful.’’ Before I could move, my front doors were flung open and I was pulled out of the vehicle. All my pleadings that I was eight months pregnant fell on deaf ears, as they continued to beat me. I was dragged on the floor and eventually stripped naked. The incident attracted a sympathetic crowd, whose pleadings were ignored because the men insisted that I would follow them to the station,” she recalled.
Continuing, Mrs Elekwachi said:
“While I sat on the floor to cover my nakedness, having been stripped naked, the police men began to drag me; while struggling with them, I fell and hit my stomach on the floor.“The men were not deterred as they carried me to the station where I was dragged out of the vehicle. It was there that I got a phone from a passer-by and called my family to intimate them about my ordeal. It was at this stage that the Divisional Crime Officer, DCO, came out to know what caused the pandemonium outside, because I had lost consciousness.
I was then taken to Safe Hands Medical Centre, where I was diagnosed of maternal trauma and placenta abruption. As a result of that, a caesarean operation was carried out on me to bring out the baby, who died after four days in an incubator at Outreach Medical Centre, Satellite Town”.
Thereafter, the brutalised lady, who was not immediately informed about her baby’s demise, was taken to a government hospital in the area for further medical attention. It was at this hospital, that VF visited her for the first time.

According to Elekwachi, her journey to the health facility was facilitated by the Police. She explained that the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of the station was sending police officers on daily basis to inquire about her welfare and also to offset some of her medical bills.
‘’The Police brought me to the hospital. The DPO was sending people everyday but the visit stopped after a few days. I needed to buy drugs that were prescribed for me but I did not see them.I also needed to scan my stomach and chest but did not do so because the Police stopped coming to the hospital. My calls to them were also ignored. I didn’t see them until I was discharged,’’ she noted.‘’The policemen who visited me at the hospital were concerned about my condition. One of them even informed me that those who brutalised me were sent to a place where a commercial motorcyclist died in a motor accident. They were sent there to ensure that the truck that killed the motorcyclist was not set ablaze. It was on their way to the scene that they assaulted me,’’ she said.
Continuing, she said:
‘’Since I was discharged the DPO has not called me. However, my relatives went to the station to collect the death certificate of my baby but it was not given to them. Rather a letter was given to them requesting me to come to their office in Ikeja on August 3, 2015.’’
The letter titled “RE: Orderly Room Trial”, dated July 31, 2015 has 4161/LS/SAT/VOL 3/369, Chika Elekwachi ‘F’ as its reference number. The invitation which emanated from the DPO’s office read:
“I refer to the incident of 19/7/2015 along Old Ojo Road involving you and three Policemen.

You are requested to report on 3/8/2015 at 10:00 am to the Provost, Nigeria Police, State Headquarters Ikeja to give evidence on the matter. Accept my assurances of the Police Commissioner’s highest regards.” The invitation was signed by the DPO, Mr. Felix Ofili, a Superintendent of Police.
The orderly room trial seems to be sequel to the confirmation of the incident by the Lagos State Police Command and its promise to investigate the matter.

It also noted that the three policemen had been arrested. Not minding the concern displayed by the DPO, some of those who got wind of the incident are demanding a proper investigation and prosecution of the suspects according to the laws guiding the force.

Elekwachi’s lawyer, Mrs. Franca Okafor has already written a seven-page petition to the Inspector General of Police and the State Police Commissioner.
The petition read in parts: ‘’It is not in doubt that the fundamental rights of our client had been flagrantly and violently breached by men of the Nigeria Police and our instruction is to demand from you the sum of N2, 500,000 (Two billion five hundred million) for general exemplary and aggravated damages coupled with a public apology”.

Lagos Lawyer Sues Buhari Over Inadequate Fuel Supply

A lawyer and human rights activist, Kabir Akingbolu has dragged President Muhammadu Buhari before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos over his failure to make adequate provision for the production and supply of petroleum products to all citizens at regulated prices.
Akingbolu, in the suit, has the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, as the second defendant.
The lawyer is contending that considering the nature and extent of inconveniences which the citizens of the country were being subjected to by the lack of petroleum products, especially the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), the failure of Buhari, as the Chief Executive Officer of the country, to act by making the products sufficiently available, was capable of causing breach of peace and serious discomfiture for the citizenry.

He is praying the court to determine whether the failure of the president to address the scarcity by the President was a breach of the oath of office he took on May 29, 2015 and a violation of the clear and unambiguous provisions of Section 130 (1) and (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

Akingbolu is asking the court to declare that the failure of the defendants (Buhari and AGF) to make available petroleum products as a breach of oath of office, and that the failure to fix the refineries in the country was equally a breach of the constitutional obligation of the president.

Rivers People Know I Don’t Like Money- Amaechi

Immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi at an event held in his honour Sunday night in Abuja, has said the people of River State are trying to blackmail him with the present Governor, Wike Nyesom leading the gang. According to him the people of the state knows he does not like money and Wike himself is fully aware of that and had once advised him that if he does not spend money on people he will not win his re-election as the Governor of the state. It is the same Wike who is now trying to black mail me, he explained. Below is what the Governor told people present at the event.

“Let me tell you what is currently going on in Rivers State. The governor and PDP are afraid of me getting an appointment to the national executive council because that will determine what the politics of Rivers State will be.

“And they know that the current President abhors corruption and the only way they can stop me from getting the appointment is to paint me with corruption. And the people that know me in Rivers State know that I don’t like money. But I am not angry with them. My anger is that in Rivers they know I don’t like money. And I expect them to defend me that I don’t like money.”

“Governor Nyesom Wike has again sponsored one advert in a bid to rubbish me. He will go and publish in the paper on Monday as advert. Only God knows that if there is one thing I don’t like, I don’t like money. Anybody close to me knows that I don’t like money. Even Nyesom Wike told me you will not win second term if you don’t use money. So all this wasted projects will not deliver us. And I said let us do it once and for all,” he said.

PDP Holds Meeting With Jonathan In Otuoke, Dickson, Alamieyeseigha, Walked Out

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) o Sunday held an emergency meeting at the country home of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Otuoke, Bayelsa State,  it wades into the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.

At the meeting, both the state governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson, and former governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, were ordered out of the venue by the party leadership.

At the meeting which looked into the recommendations of the National Peace Committee for the state, the acting Chairman of the party’s BoT, Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed, called on all feuding members and stakeholders of the party in the state to close ranks, while also upturning the decision of the state chapter of the party to expel some prominent members from the party.

President Jonathan was said to been scandalised by the action of the party at the state level, adding that the party cannot afford a major crisis less than five months to the governorship election.

At the meeting which was held at the Jonathan country home amid tight security, some uninvited prominent persons, including those who had already defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), were walked out of the venue.

ThisDay gathered that attendance was based strictly on membership of the board and on invitation.

Those in attendance at the meeting included the BoT acting Chairman, Bello; the Secetary of the BoT, Senator Walid Jibril; the former Governor of Ebonyi State, Senator Sam Egwu; Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh and Senator Stella Omu.

While some loyalists of the expelled party leaders, including the embattled Chairman of the PDP in the state, Col. Sam Inokoba, claimed that the Chairman of the state reconciliation committee and first governor of the state, Alameiyeiseigha and other party members were barred from attending the meeting due to non-membership of the party BoT.

However, Inokoba and Senator Emmanuel Paulker were allowed into the meeting.

The state Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Godspower Keku, in a statement issued yesterday, confirmed the reconciliation of the party’s leadership by the BoT and that the decision to rescind the suspensions and expulsions, was taken on the request of Dickson, who is the leader of the party in the state.

He said the decision was taken in the best interest of the party, especially with a crucial election around the corner.

EFCC Invites Judge Who Accused Aregbesola Of Fraud

Justice Folahanmi Oloyede, who recently accused Governor Rauf Aregbesola of graft, has been invited to the Abuja headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
A source close to the judge told journalists in Osogbo, the Osun State capital,on Sunday that the judge was contacted by an official of the EFCC, who asked her to come to the Abuja office of the commission to assist them in the investigation into the allegations.

Oloyede, a serving judge in the Osun State judiciary had recently petitioned the state House of Assembly, asking that impeachment proceedings be commenced against Aregbesola, who she also accused of being corrupt.

The source said the judge had expressed her readiness to assist the anti-graft agency if they come to Osogbo to investigate the petition but that she could not afford to travel to Abuja at the moment.

The judge had in her petition written on June 19 to the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Najeem Salam, accused Aregbesola of financial recklessness.

She had also sent a copy of the petition to the EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, among others.

The governor had told the House of Assembly during the inauguration of the lawmakers in June that his administration had received N20bn from federal allocations and internally generated revenue since inception till the end of 2014.

But the judge said the state got N538bn and alleged that the governor falsified the figure in order to hide the balance of the receipts.

Her petition read in part, “Mr. Governor is deemed to have received on behalf of the state and local governments, revenues well in excess of N538bn within the period under reference, therefore, the figures being currently touted by Mr. Governor are cooked, manipulated, fallacious and fraudulent. They are undeniable evidence of corruption!

“But in spite of all those huge earnings, and for no justifiable reasons, at least not justifiable before rationally thinking minds, coupled with the accumulation of foreign and local debts, Mr. Governor could still not provide the much touted infrastructures and to make matters worse, he couldn’t even discharge the simplest and least complicated of functions in governance, which is to maintain the civil service, pay pensions, run public schools and hospitals, and the maintenance of existing ‘Trunk B’ Roads.”

Nicki Minaj Is Behind Drake vs Meek Mill feud- 50 Cent

50cent may have his own ''bankruptcy'' problems , that doesn't stop him from weighing in on other people's issues..During an interview with St. Louis’ 104.1 FM, 50 Cent  said he thinks NickiMinaj is the real reason behind the Meek Mill feud with Drake.According to him,Nicki has been quiet so far and there is no way Meek would talk about Drake without talking about it to Nicki..
I think it’s really a Nicki [and] Drake thing going on,” “I would think that he(Meek) would be conscious of Nicki before he would just say something, when he knows Nicki and Drake have a relationship. Like, they’re down with each other. They’re in the same crew. Even if you just heard it randomly you would be talking to her before you say something publicly about it. Obviously she shares the same views, because she hasn’t really responded to it publicly.”
During the interview, 50 Cent spoke on whether or not he’s ever used ghostwriters.

“I wrote everything,” 50 says. “One time I took a line [on] ‘Straight To The Bank.’ Because Kanye [did the chorus], while we were just chilling in the studio he said that. And then I copied the sound that he did—but we in the room, we playing around, we writing. That’s different to somebody writing your song.”

Woman Delivers Quadruplets Four Years After Wedding & Fibroid Operation

A woman, simply identified as Mrs. Nwigboji, has delivered four male babies four years after her wedding. Mrs. Igboji delivered the quadruplets successfully at Mile Four Catholic Hospital, Abakaliki.

When New Telegraph visited the hospital at the weekend, the woman was said to be in stable condition but unable to speak but their correspondent spoke to the husband, Chidubem Nwigboji, who was full of joy.

He disclosed that he wedded his wife in 2011 and they had been having difficulties in child bearing
and had also been facing pressures from his parents and friends who had been pushing him to marry another wife which he refused.
His words:
“We married since 2011 which after my wife suffered fibroid same year of the marriage. So, she underwent an operation and we began to wait for the fruit of the womb. Last year my wife told me that she was noticing a sign of pregnancy which I told her to wait, not until four months when I told her to go for ultra-sound. The report of the ultra-sound showed twins.
After some time, I asked her to go back for another ultra-sound which she did and the number started increasing geometrically and finally it revealed quadruplets.”
He called on couples, who are yet to bear children, to trust in God.
“I saw hell in those four years because there was nothing people did not tell me; some asked me to marry another wife that my wife may not bear child. Even members of my family could not help matters; there mounted serious pressure on me to go for an option of another wife and I promised God that I will not do that.
Today, God has blessed me with all these babies at once and I am very grateful for what He has done. Although I don’t have money; but looking at these babies, I’m fulfilled,” he said.

‘Mission Impossible’ Makes Grand Opening

Over the weekend, Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation opened to an unexpected whooping  $56 million in North America where it seemed like Tom Cruise had become unpopular. The movie easily came in No. 1.

Internationally, the $150 million tentpole launched to even bigger numbers for partners Paramount and Skydance, although we don’t immediately have the final figures.

Unlike other mission impossibke moves, Rogue Nation almost boasted the best three-day weekend opening of any title in the franchise, not accounting for inflation. Guess they made it this time around.

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo Urges Nigerian Government To Revoke Anti-Gay Law

Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo , the daughter of an erstwhile governor of Oyo state, Victor Omololu Olunloyo is a US trained Nigerian International Journalist, Global Gun Violence Activist, Pharmacist and Public Relations Specialist has denounced the ongoing onslaught of the Nigerian Homosexual law giving stiff prison penalties to Nigerians who are just being themselves. "The Nigerian government and lawmakers have given themselves the license to represent the people stating that God does not endorse homosexuality. God also does not endorse hate, ritualism, rape, polygamy, suicide bombing girls and baby factories" she said. It is simply hatred. Asked why she never follows her fans on twitter, she blamed it on homophobia stating that she does not follow hate and all Nigerians are "hell bent" on homophobia.

Omololu-Olunloyo also wants the government to know that President Buhari's visit to the United States should have addressed this law and not brushed it aside with American President Obama. "America is not telling us to legalize gay marriage, they are only telling us that when you have law abiding citizens going about their own business not bothering anyone, they should not be scrutinized and stripped of their rights of being themselves." She also tweeted on her handle @HNNAfrica that Uganda dropped their anti-gay law after four months and one day Nigeria will do the same. "It's very costly economically for a country like ours with no jobs for youth. We can never be chosen to host the Olympics, World Cup and other global events for this reason. We can't be a host country to anything and already our image as one of the African countries promoting such hate is tarnished."

Omololu-Olunloyo also spoke about last week's denouncing of homophobia by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who lashed out at the stabbing attack at an Israeli Gay Pride rally injuring teens. Netanyahu stated that he will continue to lead his cuntry against hatred and homophobia. Israel ironically is a country Nigerians flock to for their annual Christian pilgrimages. "Contrary to popular belief, God does not hate gays" she said and "does not call anyone with a generic name" as she cited a pro gay tweet by Pope Francis.

She advices Nigerian lawmakers to listen to the tough messages President Barack Obama delivered at the African Union Summit about African leaders with anti-gay laws during his trip to Kenya and Ethiopia in July 2015. Hate should never reign in Nigeria.

Buhari, Osinbajo Yet To Complete Process Of Asset Declaration

Two months after assuming office, President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo have yet to present themselves to the Code of Conduct Bureau for verification of their assets as required by law.

This is despite the fact that they had promised to make the details of their assets declared to the CBB public only after the verification exercise.
But two months after the private declaration of their assets the first and second citizens had yet to present themselves for the verification.

Section 3(a) of the Third Schedule of the nation’s 1999 Constitution, which is reproduced in section 3(b) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act confers the power to verify the assets declared by the public officers on the CCB.

The Presidency had said until the CCB completed the verification, the President and the Vice-President would not make the details of their declared assets public as they promised during electioneering.

The Chairman of the CCB, Mr. Sam Saba, confirmed to Punch in an exclusive interview on Thursday that both President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo had yet to show up for the verification.

According to him, the verification of the assets declared by a public officer involves two stages, which are conference and field verifications.
Under the conference verification, the public officer is expected to present documents such as statements of bank accounts, receipts and evidence of vehicle registration relating to the declared assets before a committee inaugurated by the bureau.

After the conference verification, the officers of the bureau and the public officer will agree on a convenient date when the CCB’s committee will visit the locations of the assets for physical inspection.
Saba stated that none of the two stages of verification had commenced with respect to the assets of the President and the Vice President.

Upon further inquiries, the CCB boss said the verification would commence “any moment from now”, adding that “we are waiting for when it is convenient for Mr. President and his Vice for us to go and do it.”

The CCB boss, who said the verification of assets of governors and deputy governors who were inaugurated on May 29, 2015, was ongoing, also disclosed the bureau was collaborating with the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit to aid the verification of the financial standings of public officers.
He said, “There is cooperation between us and other anti-corruption agencies. We have even signed memorandum of understanding.
“For example, if the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has a case that involves any public officer, they (EFCC) request for the forms (completed assets declaration form) from us and we give them, the same thing with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, including the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit and when we need help we also ask them.
“I have just said that we should draft a letter to the NFIU requesting for the financial profile of the outgone governors and the incumbent ones so that we can make comparison in our verification exercise.”
Saba also stated that any public officer found to have made false declaration of assets after the ongoing verification exercise would be prosecuted before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
“Definitely it will go to the tribunal, because it will be a breach,” he said.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, however told our correspondent on Saturday that President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are not required to appear before the Code of Conduct Bureau for the verification of their assets.
Shehu said verification of assets is based on intelligence and is expected to be done discreetly by the bureau.

He said it is only when the bureau finishes the verification and discovers any discrepancy that it can revert to the President and Vice President.
The presidential aide urged Nigerians to be fair to the two officials, who, he said had declared their assets on their own and also promised to make the declarations public within their 100 days in office.

He said, “Nigerians should be fair to the President and the Vice President. There is no requirement for them to appear for verification.
“It is an intelligence exercise that should be done discreetly.
“They have declared their assets and have also promised to make it public within their 100 days in office.

“People should not sensationalise this issue unnecessarily.”
