Basketmouth and Elsie Okpocha's only daughter, Janelle is 8 today. To celebrate their special girl, both the comedian and Elsie took to their respective instagram pages to wish her a happy birthday.

Ubi Franklin pen down emotional farewell message to Tekno as he leaves TripleMG to start his own label

Singer Tekno has started his own record label called Cartel Music and has now officially left Made Men Music Group, Ubi his former record lebel boss wrote him an emotional farewell message saying he will remain FAMILY for life.


 Writing about how he was questioned 5 years ago for signing him, Ubi said it all in his goodbye/congratulatory speech to Tekno.
''5 years ago I was asked why I was signing you. Because they saw you as rude and arrogant, my reply then was Talent and self confidence most times comes out as rude and I believe the results show today that I wasn’t wrong.

Police arraign six Revolution Now protesters in Lagos

The police on Tuesday arraigned five people and a lawyer for the #RevolutionNow protests, in an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The police charged Ehis Omoshomio, 35; Gabriel Ojumah, 51, Juwon Sanyaolu, 22; Stanley Anobi, 28; Elias Ozikpu, 30; Kenechukwu Ukachukwu, 25, with two counts of unlawful assembly and conduct likely to cause breach of the peace.

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

Destiny Child 'set to re-unite after Beyoncé was inspired by Spice Girls reunion's success


Destiny's Child are reportedly set to reunite after Beyoncé masterminded a secret plan to get the girl band back together for their 20th anniversary next year.

The singer is believed to have been inspired by the success of the Spice Girls reunion tour and wants to reform on a bigger scale, according to The Sun.

Beyoncé apparently contacted her band mates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland and all three women are now on board for the comeback.

Their reunion will allegedly include the creation of some new tracks as well as a huge U.S. and European tour, which will no doubt send fans into a frenzy.

EFCC operatives storm ex-governor Abdulaziz Yari’s home in Zamfara State



The country home of former governor Abdulaziz Yari was raided Sunday night by 20 operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The EFCC has not officially given the reason for the raid in Talata Marafa, about 100km from Gusau, the capital of Zamfara.

EFCC operatives spent about five hours in the house, according to a report by Daily Nigerian. It is not clear yet if they got anything incriminating as the governor and his family were not in the building.
