After appearing in court alongside his deputy and others, who were all accused of allegedly masterminding the usage of a bogus Senate Standing Rules for the July 9, 2015, election, through which himself and Ekweremadu took over the leadership of the Senate, the Senate President has said instead of the Government of the day to join hands with them to meet the many challenges of Nigeria, it is instead more interested in elections between Senators. He took to his twitter page to address the situation and also released a press statement on their stand about today’s trial.
