NDLEA Not Joking- Say Davido Could Face 15 Years In Jail If Found Guilty Of Promiting Drugs In “Fans Mi” Video

Last week The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA went on record to say that they had kicked off investigations into Davido for the alleged depiction of drugs in the Fans Mi video which features Meek Mill.


In an interview a few days ago, the pop star’s manager, Kamal Ajiboye claimed NDLEA had contacted the MTV MAMA winner or his management team in anyway and that they heard about the investigations from the media. He also added that when the script for the video which was has garnered over 1.7 million views on Youtube, was written it was not to portray Davido as a drug trafficker.


However in the latest edition of Encomium magazine, Mitchell Otufoyeju, the head of public relations at NDLEA has said that if found guilty, Davido risks 15 years jail time as a penalty for the offence for which he is being investigated.

He said,

Legally, he risks 15 years imprisonment. The NDLEA Act section 14 sub section A states that anyone who incites, promises, or induces any other person by any means whatsoever to commit any of the offences under the NDLEA Act is liable.
