“The Federal Ibinabo Fiberesima who was recently sentenced to five years in prison over her involvment in an auto crash that led to death od one Dr Giwa Suraj, has been stripped her of her position as Actors Guild of Nigeria's President.
High Court sitting in Lagos, this morning 23/3/2016 at
the application and argument of Counsel to Actors Guild of Nigeria, Barr. Peter
Andor Oboyi, struck out Ibinabo’s and BOT suit challenging the nullification of
her election to the Presidency of AGN and also challenging the legitimacy of
the Presidency of Emeka Ike and his Exco. The implication of this judgement is
that Engr. Emeka Ike led Exco remain the only authentic and lawful leaders of
Actors Guild of Nigeria,"
"The Honourable Court vehemently reiterated the position of the judicial authority that, Ibinabo, her purported exco members and the Board of Trustees vacate forthwith the office of AGN both at the National and State level and accordingly surrender all AGN assets at their unlawful possession to the incumbent Engr Emeka Ike’s Government.”

Activision Buys Candy Crush Saga Publisher King For $5.9B
One of the biggest publishers of traditional games in the world now also owns one of the biggest mobile publishers.
Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and Candy Crush Saga — three of the biggest games in the world, all catering to different platforms and financial models — now all belong to Activision after the publisher spent $5.9 billion to acquire King Digital, the company best known for the Candy Crush and Farm Hero games. This means that Activision paid $18 per share, or a 20 percent premium over King’s closing price on October 30, to acquire the mobile behemoth. This purchase should help Activision diversify its business. It was already making a push into mobile and free-to-play, but this move instantly adds a number of high-profile and lucrative hits. Instead of trying to build mobile games that appeal to a global audience, it can just use what King has already created.

Her feelings on being famous
People think I hate being famous and I don’t. I’m really frightened of it. I think it’s really toxic, and I think it’s really easy to be dragged into it.
Watching Amy deteriorate is one of the reasons I’m a bit frightened. We were all very entertained by her being a mess. I was fucking sad about it, but if someone showed me a picture of her looking bad, I’d look at it. If we hadn’t looked, then they’d have stopped taking her picture. That level of attention is really frightening, especially if you don’t live around all that showbiz stuff.

Secondary School Students Set School Ablaze Over Ban Of Handsets
There was chaos
yesterday at the Federal Science and Technical College Dayi, Malumfashi
LGA of Katsina State as some students reportedly set the school store,
clinic and two other structures ablaze including a library building that
was built and donated to the school by Parents Teachers Association
(PTA).
According to reports, the students’ action was in reaction to the ban on use of handsets in the school. “You know this principal is strict and has directed that no student should be seen with handsets as it disrupts their learning. Some students who violates the directive had their phones seized. We suspect the students did this to protest that” a source was quoted to have said.
But another source reportedly said the destruction which is the first of its kind in the history of the school was caused by some aggrieved students who were asked to repeat classes following poor performance.

Man Poisons Pregnant Girlfriend
The people of Ezeakam Eziudo community in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State, still shudder at the recollection of the heinous act of their kinsman, 39-year-old Chamberlin Ojoko, who allegedly gave his pregnant girlfriend, Chinonye Ella, 25, a local abortion concoction.
The concoction caused fatal adverse reaction that resulted in her death, on July 20, 2015. Like someone acting out a wellscripted plan, Ojoko was alleged to have calmly gone home to borrow a shovel from his brother, Pastor Sopuruchi and buried the corpse of the deceased girlfriend in a shallow grave, which he dug at the back of an uncompleted building owned by one Dr Maduakolam Ukaegbu, a kinsman.
According to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, the chain of events that ultimately led to the untimely death of Chinonye began the day she boarded the same bus with Ojoko in December 2014, at Achingali, in Obowo Local Government Area, Imo State.
They chatted along the way as the trip progressed and then exchanged phone numbers. While Chinonye lived in Umuahia, Ojoko on his part resided in Port Harcourt. Over the intervening period, Ojoko regularly invited her to Owerri, where they would lodge in a hotel and have fun. After each visit, he would give her N3,000 to N4,000 to cover her transportation costs. This continued until Chinonye informed him that she had become pregnant.
Apparently, the news that she had conceived was not well received by Ojoko, who set about sourcing for a local concoction, probably after convincing her on the need to abort the innocent unborn child.
Lakanu explained further that on July 20, 2015, the suspect took Chinonye to an uncompleted building at Ezeakam Eziudo, his community, where he gave her the local abortion concoction. Within hours, her condition became critical as intense pain wracked her body, particularly around the stomach.
At the headquarters of the Imo State Police Command, where he is being held in custody while investigations continue, Ojoko recounted to Sunday Sun, what happened that fateful night he gave his girlfriend the abortion concoction.
He said: “On July 20, 2015, I took my girlfriend to an uncompleted building around 6:30pm. My girlfriend took the herbal medicine, but later she started writhing in pain. Then she died. I ran to my house and took a shovel; I carried her body to the side of the building. I dug the ground and buried her in a shallow grave.”
Believing in his heart that he had covered his deed like Cain, who killed his brother Abel, Ojoko returned to Port Harcourt, to the warm embrace of his unsuspecting and pregnant wife. But unknown to him, a certain little girl had seen him carry out the dead body of Chinonye, and dump it in the grave he dug. The little girl later told the owner of the building about the horrific crime she saw. After the shock of the revelation wore off, Dr. Ukaegbu ran to the Ezinihitte police station to report what he was told by the girl. The police station contacted the Head of the Homicide Unit at the Imo State headquarters in Owerri, Supol Innocent Obi, who led his men, Pastor Sopuruchi Ojoko (brother of the suspect) and Dr. Ukaegbu, to Port Harcourt, where Chamberlain Ojoko was arrested.
Giving further insight to the incident, brother of the suspect, Pastor Sopuruchi Ojoko, told Sunday Sun: “I saw my brother Chamberlin Ojoko and his girlfriend on that day around 3.00pm. They didn’t enter our house in the compound; instead they walked toward Eziudo road. About 9:00pm, I saw that my elder brother, Chamberlin, returned to the house without the girl.
“He requested for shovel and took it to the bush. He didn’t return till 11:00pm. I asked him where he was coming from at that late hour; he said he went to the toilet. I asked him, why he came to the village without informing us. He replied that he was working at the building site. I saw bruises and wounds on his hand. When information got to us that my elder brother murdered his girlfriend, I had to take the policemen to Port-Harcourt to arrest him.”
On August 15, 2015, the body of the deceased girlfriend was exhumed and autopsy conducted. The policemen discovered how he used the deceased girlfriend’s cloth to choke her. There were stains of the victim’s blood at the uncompleted building. The police also learnt that the suspect threw away the handset of the deceased girlfriend.
As it stands now, Lakanu said the Command is concerned to locate the relations of the deceased given that her handset which could have offered assistance in this regard was thrown away by the suspect.
“We want members of the public to assist us and provide information that would help us find the relations of the deceased. We learnt from the suspect that the deceased resided in Umuahia, Abia State, before her demise,” Lakanu pleaded.

Amaechi Sues PDP, Demands N300 Billion
The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has dragged the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, its Chairman, Chief Felix Obuah, and two others to an Abuja High Court over allegations that he embezzled funds belonging to the state to the tune of $757 m (N80bn) while in office.
Amaechi said in a statement he signed and issued on Tuesday that he had also sued the state PDP and two others for alleging that he (Amaechi) operated a private foreign account where he lodged the said public funds.
Though, the former governor did not identify the two other persons he joined in his suit, Amaechi said the allegation had done a lot of harm to his person and reputation and demanded N300bn as damages.
Amaechi recalled that the state PDP on August 6, and August 21, 2015, alleged that he stole the sum of N80bn of Rivers money and stashed them in an account in his name in Bancorp Bank in Minnesota, United States of America.
The immediate past governor explained that ever since the said libelous publications by the PDP and Felix Obuah got to the general public, he had been "inundated, bombarded and confronted by several persons who expressed lack of respect, loss of faith in him and who no longer regarded him as trustworthy and now viewed him as a common criminal."
"That he had been confronted by persons who offer him disrespect arising from the false accusations, even though he denied committing the several heinous offences which the PDP and Felix Obuah falsely and maliciously accuse him of committing.
"The PDP also alleged that Amaechi had embezzled millions of dollars of Rivers State money and stashed the money in other foreign accounts in his name, including in a bank in Switzerland. The PDP claimed that the various Amaechi foreign accounts were revealed and blown open by Christiane Amanpour of America's Cable News Network (CNN).
"The PDP went further to claim that Bancorp Bank, Minnesota, had written to President Muhammadu Buhari that part of the funds was to purchase a house for Amaechi in America and that they (Bancorp Bank) intend to return the stolen funds to Nigeria.
"However, in this fresh suit filed before an Abuja High Court, FCT, Amaechi stated that each of the said malicious publications by the defendants (PDP, Felix Obuah and two others) are untrue, false, motivated by ill-will and without any foundations in truth whatsoever and further avers that the defendants made the said libelous publications after the PDP failed in the presidential election and with a view to rubbishing him in the eyes of right thinking members of the society and the persons to whom the said libelous publications have been made."
He added that the PDP had claimed that the US-based bank had revealed to President Muhammadu Buhari that part of the money lodged therein were meant to purchase a house for him (ex-governor).
Amaechi had, however, declared in his statement of claims in the said suit that he did not steal the sum of N80bn belonging to the state and did not stash the said amount of money in Bancorp Bank in the United States of America or Switzerland.
Amaechi further declared, "The Bancorp Bank, Minnesota, United States, did not write and did not communicate with President Muhammadu Buhari over any said sum of $757m allegedly looted by him (Amaechi) that is kept with it and in Switzerland since no such money was ever looted by him."
Amaechi noted that part of his worry is that the defendant (PDP, Obuah and two others) had further circulated the alleged malicious publications that exposed his person to ridicule, public odium, contempt and disparagement in the eyes of right thinking members of the society.
Describing the allegations against him as wild, Amaechi maintained that he served the state with distinction, initiated and completed numerous public projects and undertook other public infrastructure projects.
He also affirmed that he had never been convicted by any court with either stealing or embezzlement of public funds anywhere in Rivers State or Nigeria or anywhere in the world.

I Am Going Through This Because I Am Senate President
SENATE President Bukola Saraki who appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT following a 13-count charge against him over alleged false asset deceleration. He , said yesterday that if he was not the Senate President, he would not be going through the present trial.
In a statement tilted, "As I Appear Before The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT)" he personally signed Tuesday night, Senate President Bukola Saraki who noted that his appearance before the CCT was a demonstration of his believe in rule of law and respect for the judiciary, said, "Today, I appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal for the commencement of my trial in a case concerning the asset declaration form I filled in 2003 after I have explored the opportunity to defend my fundamental human rights in other courts.
"My appearance in court today once again demonstrates my belief in the rule of law and respect for the judiciary of our country.
"As I stated while taking the plea in the case, I reiterate my belief that the only reason while I am going through this trial is because I am Senate President. If I were to be just a Senator, I doubt if anybody will be interested in the asset declaration form I filled over twelve years ago.
"This belief stems from the fact that Section 3 (d) of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act provides that If there is a breach or non-compliance with any section of the law, the person involved should be given the opportunity to either admit or deny and that in the case of a written admission, no reference to the Tribunal shall be necessary. So, If the CCB had followed the guidelines, procedure or the due process provided in its own law, we won't be having this trial
.
"It is my humble opinion that this case is a vivid example that there is still flagrant disregard for due process in our polity. This trial is not only being observed by Nigerians alone, the international community is watching because Nigeria is a key member of this community.
So, the executive, legislature and judiciary should do the right thing that will truly demonstrate that we have imbibed the spirit of positive change.
"It is however necessary for me to thank my colleagues in the Senate for the solid support and solidarity they demonstrated for me. I also thank my counsel for the brilliance they have shown in presenting our case and the supporters who were present in the Tribunal in their hundreds. I want to assure you that I am innocent of all the charges and will clear my name in due course.
"May God continue to bless our country."

(Photos)Wife Dumps Husband After He Tattoos A Six-inch Penis On His Thigh
A wife has kicked out her husband after he tattooed a six-and-a-half-inch penis down his thigh.
Stuart Valentino, inked the penis so it pokes out of his boxer shorts. But it was the last straw for his wife who decided enough was enough and dumped him.The 34-year-old, who admits the tattoo is 'the stupidest thing he has ever done' has now been kicked out of their home in Southsea, Hampshire. The father-of-four, said:
'My wife hates it. 'After I did it, my wife woke up in the morning screaming, because there was this massive penis poking out of the duvet. And the tattoo on my leg.'It caused no end of rows, and she's now kicked me out of home. I deserve it, I suppose. In retrospect, I'm not surprised, it really is the stupidest thing I've ever done.'
The lorry driver says the 'joke' has ruined his life.He was even banned from taking his three-year-old daughter swimming because of the obscene tattoo. The father, who has other inkings across his arms and legs, said:
'I didn't realise how it would hinder my life.We had just begun taking our three-year-old daughter swimming, and I could no longer get involved because it looked as though my penis was poking out.'We wanted to plan a holiday, but the penis would be sticking out and when I was in boxer shorts it was a constant reminder to Samantha of how stupid I had been.'
Wife of two years Samantha, 35, had bought her husband the tattoo gun as a Christmas present. But she was left to regret the gift after Stuart got drunk and permanently inked the design on his thigh.
